The Water Cathedral - cisterns
This is undoubtedly the most special visit to the fortress. The accumulation of almost 9 million litres of water makes this space a rarely accessible curiosity: a navigable stone cistern, the Cathedral of Water. The tour takes place aboard inflatable boats, during which a guide explains the curiosities and shows the different cavities in one of the four cisterns. It's important to bear in mind, however, that the area is enclosed, and the inflatable boats are not very mobile. If you have any doubts, ask the staff in charge.
The tour lasts 30 minutes and can be completed afterwards with the self-guided tour.
A not to be missed experience!
The moat
The visit to the moat includes all the highlights of the fortress surroundings along a route of about 3 flat kilometers. Including the entrance to the countermines. It is done with electric vehicles adapted to make it more comfortable. Always with the accompaniment and explanations of a specialized guide.
The tour lasts 1 hour and can be completed with the self-guided tour.
